IT CAN'T HAPPEN HERE

This is a short exercise to give you something to think about. Hopefully, you have never had to (and never will have to) experience the possibilities this story suggests. Of course, Hope Family Service's foster supervisors would never behave the way they do in this story! :)

What would you do if. . .

You are a foster parent. You have just picked up your morning cop of coffee, and are heading through the hallway on your way to start waking up the kids.

The room is nearly dark, lit only by the morning sun filtered through the shades. You see movement in the far corner. You recognize Tom, one of your older foster children, and Rinaldo, a younger foster child. Tom seems to have his arms around Rinaldo, but Rinaldo isn’t struggling.

What do you do:

Ignore it and go on about your work. . .
Walk over to see what's going on. . .
